What a great hour or so with Candice and Leigh for their engagement photoshoot at Clevedon Woods last week. If this engagement shoot was anything to go by, then I cannot wait to photograph their wedding in a couple of weeks time. Click here for all the photos.
As Miss Bristols (Meg Abernethy-Hope) official photographers we get to go to some amazing events. This was no exception. This is the first event for FrockSwap and I am sure it will continue to grow. We accompanied Meg to this event and quickly learnt what this was all about. It is a brand new foundation set up in Bristol to help raise funds for blind and visually impaired children in the UK so that they can purchase innovative braillers. These machines are incredible. We were extremely pleased to be able to attend with Miss Bristol to this worthy cause and look forward to working with them again in the near future. To see all the photos from the event click here.
We were extremely excited about this wedding, after photographing Lisa’s sisters wedding a few years ago we were asked to photograph Lisa & Chris’s wedding. With a lovely couple, an awesome family and a magnificent venue – how could we say no!! The day started off early with Paul going to the bridal preparations at the stunning Harptree Court and Jon covering the boys getting ready. The weather looked a bit murky to start with but cleared up as the day went on. Hair and makeup all done it was then time to head over to Coombe Lodge for the girls to finish off getting ready.
Lisa looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress and was not nervous at all (well didn’t show it at all if she was). The ceremony was so beautiful, the sun was even shining through the windows on the happy couple.
Lisa’s dad John did exceeded the expectations regarding his speech which involved a game of Mr & Mrs questions. This was followed by an emotional speech from Chris and a very comical speech from Grant the best man.
We managed to grab some lovely outdoor photos in between a little drizzle rain and cold temperatures. A special mention must go to the wedding cake which was absolutely amazing – keeping in with the Easter theme was a giant egg decorated with tiny intricate and delicate flowers. This was made by one of Lisa’s friends.
A great hour was spent with the Harris family at Ashton Court Mansion house and estate on Sunday. The sun even made an appearance which helped with some lovely colour tones. The three children did so well and so did the parents and grandparents!! Click here to view all the photos.
We photographed the lovely Emily and Dale for their engagement on Sunday at Homewood Park in bath. What a lovely venue. Emily and Dale are getting married here in October this year. The gardens are absolutely stunning, and there are some lovely lakes according to Dale (we found the ponds)!!! They are a great couple and we are really looking forward to photographing their wedding. Click here for all the engagement photos.
What a lovely day at Samantha and Matthews wedding over in beautiful Wales. The weather was amazing and both Samantha and Matthew looked stunning. It was great to be part of the story.
A great evening at BULABDS photography night on Monday 16th March. The dresses were amazing, the dance poses were incredible and the people were outstanding. What a great group, and if I didn’t have three left feet I would certainly love to have a go. For all the photos please click here.
So baby Gracie came back into the studio for another photo shoot – this girl loves the camera! Gracie has grown so much since the last time we saw her. She is so funny, even trying to take my camera of me – I’m guessing to take some selfies!!! To enjoy all the photos please click here.
Miss Bristol 2015 was held in The Thistle Grand Hotel, Bristol on Sunday. What an amazing evening. All the girls looked amazing with their hair and makeup and different outfits. The event was hosted by Richard and Simon, Jade and Petra from Stages Hair Design in Bristol. The running order consisted of Round 1 = Evening Wear (The girls wearing their most glamorous dresses), Round 2 = Interviews (The girls talking about the things most important to them), Round 3 = ECO Wear (The girls had to create/wear outfits that were made from ECO/recycled material). The ECO round saw dresses made from farm food bags, Seaweed from Clevedon Beach, bubble wrap, newspapers, string and leaves, wall paper, a duvet and even one made from old umbrellas! The winners were Miss Popularity – Samantha Bright, Miss Social Media – Coco Robertson Riley, Miss ECO – Meg Abernethy Hope, 3rd Runner up – Emily Sanders, 2nd Runner up – Rebecca Lammond and the overall winner and title of Miss Bristol went to Meg Abernethy Hope. All the girls did an amazing job and a good night was had by all. To see all the photos from the evening then please click here.
